Website Requirements for
Political Organizations

The carriers have instituted new rules around 10DLC vetting, mainly around how your campaign’s website collects phone numbers and your campaigns website Privacy Policy.

1

Every phone collection field on your campaign website must provide a detailed disclaimer that they are opting in to receive text message communications. Please see the example below which includes the approved disclaimer language:

By providing your telephone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. Messaging may include requests for donation. Reply “STOP” to opt-out & “HELP” for help. View Privacy Policy for more info.

2

To be approved for 10DLC, your campaigns website’s Privacy Policy must now have this language included:

Example:
Text messaging opt-in data, consent and related collected personal information will not be shared with or sold to any third parties, unless required by law.

If your website does not have a privacy policy, you must have one. Here is a sample one that you may copy and use.
